Mother Soaries' passing is hitting me a little different. It's like a part of my childhood was taken. My mom worked for Ms. Mitzi when I was 7 and when we reconnected 15 years ago, there was a lot of joy in those conversations. When we finally saw each other in person, I said to her I don't think you remember me and she responded "Of course I do Jasmine, I remember your eyes." To be remembered after decades had passed was something I will always treasure. I will miss her and her Facebook replies and inboxes. Most of all, I will miss her style, genteelness, class and elegance and her Godliness. Oh, that woman loved God!
It is now time for the church to hold you and family up during your time of loss…Mother Soaries as so many of us called her was a special woman…She could pray and you knew that she had a deep and personal relationship with God. Undoubtedly she will missed and cherished beyond her years…So allow us to lift you, Mrs. Soaries, Terri, your brother and the rest of your family in prayer, song, and the celebration of a wonderful life…Thank you Pastor Soaries

Beautiful to read. I cant make it Tuesday, but send my prayers along just the same. With mom there was a physical feeling of a psychic umbillical like break feeling that was different than with dad but no less painful. Giving thanks for your being in the world and for the moments we had them!
